I know I keep harping on this subject.... .....and I probably always will. It's a subject very close to me and one that I would like to see eradicated from here on out. So if I make you uncomfortable by bringing this to the forefront again, I don't apologize as this is supposed to bring us out of our comfort Zone. So while out and about lollygagging around keep your ears alert, your eyes open, and if you know of anybody who is being abused or if you know an abuser please report it. You can report anonymously to any police department or to school officials.
The abuse at the hands of these sick individuals will continue for the rest of the survivors life. It will have an impact on how they view their world, those they love, and any future dealings with the world and the people in it. Just because abuse is so rampant does not mean we need to desensitize ourselves too it. And we must not.

Man, when you decide to catch up, you giter done.
I concur. c

Another place to report is directly to Social Services. Please be aware, (ohter folks reading this), that many school officials do NOT do squat, even though it must be reported by law. (I worked in the schools.) So, reporting directly to the police or Social Services is the best, if possible, or the principal or guidance counselor of a school. Unfortunately, too many teachers do NOT want to face what could be facts.

There ARE great teachers out there but there are just as many who cver it up and don't make a report.
Regardless, excellent reminder post. Too many people do NOTHING.
