One of the Bracelets I've made
This Piece is made from some beautiful Mexican Amber my daughter Anna brought back from Mexico for me. I think it's very pretty. I love the color and warmth that amber represents. When you look at it and realize how old that amber is, it's truly amazing, because it's millions of years old.

  No Brainer ~ Funding

According to doctors at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C., 60 percent of the wounded soldiers coming back from Iraq have traumatic brain injuries.

Unfortunately, the Bush administration has recently completely zeroed out funding for the Federal TBI Act, which provides exactly this kind of help.

In Vermont, due to recent decisions concerning budgetary shortfalls, TBI survivors are now prevented from entering the Vermont TBI Medicaid Waiver Program, which delivers exactly this kind of help.

Please call the governor (802) 828-3345 and our congressional representatives and ask them to support the Vermont TBI Medicaid Waiver Program.

Where Did I go? I have discovered that I have gotten off track on this blog. Instead of writing because I love to write, I've been lingering too long in the news. I've noticed I've become more confrontational, more assertive, angrier, and terribly irritated. Too many things going on out there. So much horror and bloodshed, tyranny and tragedy. So many smokescreens hiding the truth. What is the truth? I'm lost in all the jumble of facts that are being flung here and there. There are many breadcrumbs to guide my path, but some are generic, some are faux, and some have disintegrated. I think I need to step back for awhile and try and dwell on some good things. But before I do that, I wanted to recommend the below:

I just read Gar's blog where he posted something by Harvey Wasserman, Titled "If Jesus Returned." I highly recommend reading this. But who am I too say, right? Right? It was very eye opening and very enlightening.

Oh mY God you won't Believe this!

Does this baby look normal to you? Well I hope it doesn't! This is a new drug danger awareness doll. She's called drug baby. My daughter just sent me this sight, she's multitasking again...Anyway you must read the article that goes with this little doll picture. Click on the Title and you should get there.

I've heard story's about baby's that are born drug addicted, and from what I understand it's not a pretty sight or easy to be handled. They look quite different from your average baby, there are tell tale signs that you can spot the moment they are born. It's another tragedy that our nation is dealing with. Read the paper and see all the meth labs, and drug dealings that are going on everywhere around us.

These babies are being born constantly by drug using mothers. Often these babies are left to be cared for by the hospital long after the mother has given them up. In large city's I know they can always use volunteers to hold and rock these babies. Otherwise they cry and scream continuously. It is a terrible ordeal for a baby to go through, some do not even recover.

I don't know if these dolls are available in the US yet. Did any of you have to participate in the program where you had to carry around a ten pound sack of potatoes. This was supposed to mimic having a baby with you constantly. Of course the potatoes didn't cry, or poop their diapers, they didn't require feeding, and you didn't have to get up in the middle of the night with them.

For anyone who romantisizes (I know I didn't spell that right, it's not in my spell checker) about having a baby, there are plenty of things that are very unromantic about it.

This is just one more reality check that we all need to heed.

Reading this made me very sad. I couldn't help but think that Sarah probably would've loved to have her mother or father near by to help her go through this. Silly Huh? I know. But so oftentimes we want our mama's or daddy's when we go through horrible things.....no matter how horrible.

What is it that snaps in the mind that causes someone to do something like Sarah has been found guilty of doing? What causes that person to cross the line between wishing somebody was dead and actually carrying out the task to make it happen? I know I shouldn't but I feel sorry for her, nonetheless.

"Green Ball of Fire with A Tail..." Saturday night in the Pacific Northwest a "Bright Streaking Light Seen In Western Sky" and I missed it! Scientists say "it was probably a meteor that disintegrated before falling into the pacific ocean." After reading that in Yahoo News I scanned the comments and replies regarding this "meteor sighting", someone saying they we're listening to their scanner and apparently"thousands had called 911 to report it" I don't know if 911 can handle that many calls, but enough thought it looked too strange to be a "meteor". I know I'm using lots of quotation marks in this post, I think they're needed because I don't want anyone thinking I'm saying these things. Someone thought maybe perhaps a faulty missile launch. He mentioned Korea or China. I don't know.

But doing a search on google regarding various cloud formations, this I did because someone sent me this one, I stumbled upon various wonders in the sky.
This is known as a Lenticular cloud

This photo was taken by someone named Ernst Endresen It's called a Orographic cloud. What does this have to do with "green balls of fire"? Well as you might have guessed by reading some of my early posts , especially one called Sometimes Late At Night . Cloud formations have always been very fascinating to me. Back in the old days of going to Mt. Palomar for those "UFO" meetings we learned that the "motherships" always hid in these, or were able to make these clouds themselves to camouflage their existence.

Mountains, strange cloud formations and objects flying through space, you put any of those words in google and you'll come up with all kinds of theory's about UFO's. There is always someone who will give you a weather meteorological take on what causes them. But to me the most interesting are those attributed to UFO's. I've always got my eye out looking for those motherships ya know.

I know my post here is a bit flighty, can't be helped right now as that's what I'm doing, flying from one window to the next searching out one link to another.

Another interesting find was this article in the CBS news regarding the making of the film about the Lunar Walk. It's on CBS News World. Interesting Read. The Dark Side Of The Moon, that's what this article talks about, not what George Adamski wrote about it, but the film made by William Karel and produced by Point Du Jour Productions. "...Dark Side Of The Moon navigates the viewer through lies and truth; fact and fiction. This is no ordinary documentary. Its intent is to inform and entertain the viewer, but also to shake him up - make him aware that one should always view television with a critical eye"

I might be back to add to this post but for now that's enough. TTFN

winamp Thanks to a faithful reader I have radio on my computer. I also have internet TV. There are also videos and CD burning if you know how to do that stuff. But what is so cool is I have all the kinds of music I want at my fingertips. Of course I have to figure out how to use all of this stuff. But as I write this I am listening to NPR. So this is really great. Thank you so much to my friend who told me about this. They also have a station that plays nothing but Beatles just in case Marty doesn't know that yet. They also have a Celtic station. Really awesome.
Writer's Block........? I'm experiencing a bit of a writer's block lately. I think I've been a little consumed by all the news surrounding the BTK. The shooting of the Judges Husband and Mother. The dialogue that goes on between Michael Jackson's accuser and the defense lawyer. The missing children from the Amber Alert ticker. Now there is another killing of a Judge, his court reporter and a deputy, this happening in Atlanta Georgia. Yes so there is alot of bad news out there.

But along with the bad there was also some funny stuff. A toilet paper tax in Florida. Really quite funny and full of puns. The one about the people in India who don't pay their tax and have to face the music. Rup pup pum pum pum!!! Also the one in Pennsylvania about a Robber in a Pluto Mask.

So please forgive me if I'm not being creative today. There are plenty of people out there that are.

Mt. St. Helens How is everyone doing out there? hmmmm? This is where a radio would really come in handy. My daughter called, the one who lives in Portland. She says she can see a plume of ash rising out of Mt. St. Helens! I've been checking all the lastest news on the internet on this eruption. There have been lots of little earthquakes happening off the coast here. Is it possible to get radio from your computer?

Who was watching Aaron Munoz? Aaron Munoz was born addicted to heroin and died in a prison cell.

What could be sadder then that? Read the story by clicking on the title of this post.
